NADIN RUNNE
What is the best thing about being your age?
The best part about being 44 is knowing what I want and, more importantly, what I don't want anymore. The experiences I have had in my private and professional life have made me the person I am today - and I am proud of that. I found my passion and love the opportunities it has opened up for me.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest successes or most beautiful experiences were the two home births of my sons.
What is a trait you are most proud of?
I am proud of my open, curious and inquisitive nature, my intuition and my way of inspiring other people.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I had developed more self-love much earlier.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Getting up in the morning and greeting the day on the beach with a perfect coffee and sand under your feet.
What is your greatest fear?
My biggest fear is that people are becoming more and more selfish and withdrawn, and not seeing how important each individual has a contribution to make to the preservation of this world.
What advice would you give your younger self?
To my younger self, I would advise standing up for herself and her dreams and goals - no matter what anyone else says.
How important is self-love and dedicating little moments of celebrating yourself?
This is very important for me - especially as a mother of two boys. ButI have had to learn it - and I still do.
Additional thoughts for younger women…
Trust your gut instinct, follow your vision. Don't be distracted by outside opinions, try and you will make mistakes, but keep trying.
